Catmondaan Stone Tower
The Catmondaan Stone Tower is one of Catmon’s historical structures. It was used to watch out for possible threats from the sea and neighbouring villages during the Japanese Era. Now it serves as a tourist destination to allow visitors to have a glimpse of Catmon’s rich history. It also has a great view of the sea and the surrounding area, making it a great choice for those who want to see how Catmon, Cebu looks like from a bird’s eye view. Esoy Hot Spring
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Catmon, Esoy Hot Spring is a must-visit when in town. It is just five kilometers from the town center so it is not that difficult to reach. It holds hot natural water coming from a nearby dormant volcano – Mount Tabayag, for everyone to enjoy and relax. It is, however, a requirement is that you have to make reservations first prior to using the facilities to avoid logistical problems. There is also an entrance fee of P100, and cottages are available for rent at P500. For those who are not so fond of swimming in hot water, they may also enjoy river trekking and rock climbing.
Padre Miguel de Jesus Park
Catmon, Cebu is also proud of its religious roots, and it houses the Padre Miguel de Jesus Park. This park is a favorite among pilgrims and devotees, especially because of the life-size station of the cross. Padre Miguel de Jesus Park particularly gets busy during the fiesta or during Holy Week. This place is also great for those who wish to reflect and to enjoy a peaceful and serene time. The lush greens and the quiet surroundings facilitate a great time for visitors to meditate and appreciate the beauty of nature.
