One of the most promising city in Central Visayas in terms of economic development and has swiftly become a budding tourist destination is the Talisay City, Cebu. The name Talisay originated from one of the most prolific and fast growing trees within the area, the Magtalisay.
There are a total number of 22 barangays within Talisay city respectively; Bulacao, Cadulawan, Cansojong, Dumlog, Jaclupan, Lagtang, Lawaan 1, Linao, Maghaway, Manipis, Mohon, Poblacion, Pooc, San Isidro, San Roque, Tabunoc, Tangke, Tapul, Biasong, Camp IV, Lawaan II, Lawaan III, and an estimate population of over 200,000 as reported by Philippine Statistics Authority in 2010.
Talisay City, Cebu which is known for its Roasted pig delicacy, offers more than just good taste but has been proven a perfect travel destination due to a number of beach resorts, affordable hotels, and vast variety of tourist attractions which are definitely picture-perfect.
Famous for its 15-foot estuarine crocodile named Lapu-Lapu , and a series of crocodile shows where visitors can watch the crocodiles being fed in front of their very eyes, Crocolandia has been a top travel destination for the not-so-squeamish and the young at heart.
The park aims to protect not just these huge crocodiles but also the other endangered species as well such as Sail-fin lizards, Palawan Pheasant Peacocks, Serpent Eagles, Palawan Bearcats, Philippine tarsiers, Philippine Hawk-Eagle, Rufus Hornbill, Iguanas and Myna birds. They also work towards educating families especially the children on wildlife conservation.
It is located at Burgos St., Talisay City, Cebu which is an hour away from Cebu city proper and can be reached normally by motorcycles, cabs or rented vans.
Sta. Teresa De Avila
Considered one of the oldest churches not just in Cebu but in the whole Philippines, Sta. Teresa De Avila’s has been an automatic go-to place for visitors due to its architectural structure which displays exceptional magnificence and grace.

The whole length of the cave is only about a hundred meters but the challenge is the process of moving through the small passageway which takes about 15 minutes before reaching the magnificent waterfalls inside the cave. A chapel is also located just in front of the cave which requires over 250 steps for anyone to reach the top which offers a quick walking work out.
